Rubber Chairs For Everyone!

Well not entirely..

Only the joints & skin are made out of rubber. The rest of the chair is made solely of wood or metal.

The design is said to have been inspired by an old grandpa’s chair that had become loose and creaky. It has character in it’s old age, and as the years have set in, so has the flexibility. This chair is for people who move around a bunch. It’s called “A Restless Chairacter.”

I would have loved this in elementary school! My teacher would always make us stand up if we fell out of our chair while leaning back in it..

Oh & it was designed by Pepe Heykoop.

We On The Bubble!

richard hutten's claud chair will be shown at the milan design week 09 in april.
the chair is being produced by gallery ormond editions from geneva
in a limited edition made with polished and nikkel plated aluminum casting.

I find this chair/sofa interesting for two reasons. 1. Is because we're working on casting in my sculpture class. And I couldn't come up with a #2. ^_^

Momma Always Told Me Not To Open An Umbrella In The House

but she never told me that they'd bring me light!

swedish designer marie-louise gustafsson has created a lamp collection 'come rain or come shine' in collaboration with the interior architect and designer daniel franzen. The lamps are only prototypes & are not in production yet.
That sucks..
